About me
I am passionate about helping students of all ages learn to self regulate so they can be successful. I'm starting my 17th year in education where I've taught elementary self contained and departmentalized, taught at elementary long term DAEP, worked as a middle school counselor and as an elementary school counselor. I currently work as an Elementary Counselor at Hughes Elementary in Northwest ISD. My extensive training through Conscious Discipline has shaped my understanding of the brain and what is needed for students who are dysregulated. As a mother of a teenager myself, I also understand that the best intentions are often met with unwanted behaviors. My goal is to equip all adults with tools to help the kids in our care.
